Today 'Ganoth and I are one step further to exiting weyrlinghood.

Kayganoth flew for the first time today- he's grown so big, it's even more noticable up in the sky- and he's so beautiful mid-flight. He kept a running commentary going the entire time he was up there with Lzi's Izlasth- who was the weyrlingmaster assigned to all us weyrlings. I was really nervous about everything, maybe I'm a bit overprotective of him? Well, he hasn't complained.

His take-off was a bit scary, when he first left the ground he went into a bit of shock and fell back down, but he kept running and was up in the air the next few wing beats later.

His landing was almost flawless though, which I'm so proud of him for. After he came out of his excited shock I gathered him and led him back to the barracks with promises of a good washing and oiling and then some meat. Now he keeps on asking about when he and I are going up there in the air together. I told him soon, as soon as he gets flying by himself down right first.
